LeClaire honors businesses, community leaders

    LECLAIRE, Iowa – Businesses, people and events in this community were recently honored during the  LeClaire Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.

    That celebration, held Saturday, March 28, at the Mississippi River Distilling Company Celebration Center, featured an awards presentation and the installation of the new Board of Directors for the chamber.

    These awards were presented during the celebration:

    • Edward B. deSilva Community Leadership Award 2025: Rob Cain.
    • Volunteer of the Year: Connie Allen.
    • Event of the Year: Christmas in LeClaire.
    • Golden Pineapple Customer Service Award: Aunt Hattie’s Fanciful Emporium.
    • Brick and Mortar Award: Skinderella’s Wonderland Art Collective.
    • Spirit of LeClaire Award: Aunt Hattie’s.

    The Chamber also celebrated continuity and growth within its leadership. Existing board members include:

    • President: Rob Danielson.
    • Vice President: Wayne Walley.
    • Treasurer: Caleb Jacobi.
    • Secretary: Dr. Crystal Buesing.
    • Chairman: Rob Cain.
    • Board Members: Mike Clingingsmith and William Bloom.

    Board renewals included Dr. Crystal Buesing, Mike Clingingsmith, and William Bloom, and the 2026 board welcomed new members:

    • Dayle Hall.
    • Airyn Simpson.
    • Rodney Collier.
    • Holly Katko.
    • Scott Gelande.
    • Rebekah Doering.

    Chamber staff supporting the organization include Secretary Alixx Boynton and Digital Manager Alysia Huffman.
