The 12th Gathering of the Green – a celebration of all things John Deere – will make its return to the Quad Cities later this month.
The nationwide conference draws antique John Deere tractor collectors, restorers and enthusiasts. The 2026 Gathering is slated for Wednesday to Saturday, March 18-21, at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport, Visit Quad Cities announced in a Thursday, Feb. 26, news release.

This year’s conference theme, “An American Original,” aligns with America’s 250 and highlights the lasting impact of John Deere equipment and its role in shaping agriculture across the nation.
Organizers said attendees can look forward to educational workshops, a wide variety of tractor and implement displays, and social events connecting collectors, restorers, and fans of all ages.
“Whether you’re a new attendee or a veteran attendee, we have so much to offer. You’re sure to find something you will enjoy,” Edward Vieth, the Gathering of the Green chairman, said. “We hope that when you leave the Gathering, each of you will feel that during your visit, new knowledge was gained, new treasures were found, new friends were made, or even just a pleasurable experience was encountered.”
The conference, last held in 2022 in the Quad Cities after a COVID-19 pause, is a huge economic boon to the bistate region. The event is expected to draw 2,000 of attendees from across the nation as well as international guests enamored with John Deere’s green machines.
The event is not affiliated with Deere & Co., headquartered in Moline.
Highlights of the 2026 Gathering are:
- More than 60 technical and historical seminars.
- Trips and tours that give attendees behind-the-scenes access to regional agricultural and manufacturing attractions. Sites include area factories and local John Deere historic sites.
- Impressive displays of John Deere tractors, rare memorabilia and a Vendor Hall.
- Barn find displays feature a variety of Deere machinery and artifacts in as-found condition.
- An opening reception with Gathering of the Green founder, Ken Reese.
- A closing banquet with guest speaker David Jones, the former editor of “The Furrow Magazine.”

The cost is $50 for full conference registration and $100 for vendor registration. Full registration is required for attendees interested in the tours.
