DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) is seeking nominations for the 19th annual HousingIowa Awards, a program recognizing outstanding leadership, innovation and impact within the state’s housing sector.
Nominations will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 5. To make a nomination, visit here.
The awards honor programs and projects that advanced affordable housing across Iowa. The categories are: Multifamily Housing Development, Single-Family Housing Development, Special Needs Housing Development (including housing for seniors, persons with disabilities and the homeless) and Innovation.
Winners will be recognized at an awards program on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, where firsthand stories will be shared to highlight the real-life impact of their work. In addition to project and program awards, the IFA HousingIowa Awards also present two individual honors:
- Kay Anderson Friend of Iowa Award: This honor is presented to a housing leader who demonstrates exceptional qualities and service in leadership.
- Mark Sertterh Friend of Housing Award: This award recognizes service providers and frontline workers who show exceptional dedication to improving the lives of those they serve.
