The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) recently announced its Top Mortgage Lenders and Realtors for 2024, including in the Quad Cities area.
The awards recognize the lending institutions, loan originators and Realtors who assisted the most homebuyers through IFA programs in 2024.
Several of those top lenders are financial institutions with locations in the Quad Cities area. They include: Fortress Bank and GreenState Credit Union. Fortress Bank is honored in the “Diamond Lender” category with 150 or more lends last year. GreenState is honored in the “Platinum” category with 100 or more lends.

“Homeownership not only empowers families to build generational wealth and achieve financial stability, but it is also an economic catalyst, with home sales spurring additional investments in our communities,” IFA Director Debi Durham said in a news release. “I commend our lender and Realtor partners recognized today for their tireless efforts in serving as the gateway to homeownership for thousands of Iowans.”
Local lenders partner
IFA offers mortgage and down payment assistance programs for Iowa homebuyers through a network of more than 400 lenders throughout the state. These partnerships offer Iowans the convenience of working with their local lender and access to IFA’s financial assistance programs.
In 2024, local lenders assisted more than 2,660 Iowans in purchasing a home using IFA mortgage and down payment assistance programs. Nearly 70,000 Iowa residents have reached their goal of homeownership since the program’s inception.
