Hammond-Henry welcomes new physician to Geneseo Clinic

    GENESEO, Ill. — Hammond-Henry Hospital has announced that Dr. Chad Martens has joined the staff at its Geneseo Clinic, where he is currently accepting new patients.

    Dr. Martens joins the Family Practice team, which includes Dr. Loren Soria and APRNs Kati Grimes, Heidi Vorac, and Elyse Wolf. He specializes in family practice, with expertise in chronic disease management, preventative medicine, comprehensive urgent care, skin biopsies/excisions, and joint injections. He is accepting both pediatric and adult patients.

    “To best accommodate our increasing number of patients, especially in the Geneseo Clinic, we’ve been diligently looking for a physician that would best complement our already fantastic team,” said Wyatt Brieser, Hammond-Henry Hospital CEO. “We feel we have found that in Dr. Martens.”

    A native of Erie, Ill., Dr. Martens completed his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago – Rockford Rural Medicine Education Program and his Family Medicine Residency in Rockford’s Rural Training Tract at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon. He is an Augustana College graduate.

    “I have always liked the culture and work ethic of Hammond-Henry Hospital, and I am dedicated to bettering the health of this community,” Dr. Martens said.

    The Geneseo Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for family practice, with walk-in care available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment, call (309) 944-1275.
