The Empowering Abilities Booster Organization is hosting its first-ever mum sale with locally grown, hardy mums perfect for porches, patios, and gardens for sale.

Proceeds will support inclusive social events such as themed dances for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, who are served by the Davenport-based Empowering Abilities.

These social events create friendship, connection, and joy for the Empowering Abilities community.

Mums are $15 each (8″-10″). They are available in maroon, purple, orange, yellow, or harvest (an orange/yellow/pink blend). Color availability may vary. Orders are being accepted now through noon Friday, Sept. 5.

Orders can be placed in person at Empowering Abilities’ center at 3402 Hickory Grove Road, where cash, check, and credit cards are accepted. Orders also can be placed online here (credit card only).

Pickup is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Empowering Abilities’ facility at 2401 N. Brady St., Davenport.

“Nothing says ‘fall’ like a front step full of mums — and nothing says ‘community’ like coming together to make inclusive fun possible,” said Amber Wood, Empowering Abilities vice president of development & communications. “Every purchase helps our Boosters host belonging-building events all year long.”
