MUSCATINE, Iowa — The 4th Annual NextGen 5K Run/Walk for Mental Health Awareness is set for Saturday, Sept. 13, at NextGen Motors here. The event aims to promote mental wellness and community connection while raising funds for local mental health initiatives.
Participants can choose between a 1-mile walk, 5K walk, or 5K run. Registration is $25 for adults (18+) and $20 for youth (17 and under) through Friday, Sept. 12.
The Sept. 13 event schedule is: 8:30-9:00 a.m., packet pickup/registration; 9 a.m., keynote speakers and races begin at 9:30 a.m.
Packet pickup and registration also be available from noon to 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at NextGen Motors, located at 310 Cleveland St.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category for both men’s and women’s divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
All proceeds will benefit Micaela’s Hope, Grey Matters Collective, and NAMI Muscatine Programs. Registration is now open online here.
