The City of Davenport now is taking applications for the seventh round of funding available through the Davenport DREAM Project.
Applications will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 29. Eligible homeowners could be awarded up to $20,000 through this project to make exterior property improvements.
Applications are available online here. Paper applications are available at Davenport City Hall during normal business hours.
Since 2019, the DREAM Project has invested $7 million in 277 properties for projects including new roofs, siding, paint, decks and much more. The DREAM project is a neighborhood restoration project that hopes to inspire a renewed interest in the city’s heritage neighborhoods.
“The Davenport DREAM Project works because of its impact on entire neighborhoods,” Bruce Berger, the city’s director of community and economic development, said in a news release. “This investment supports the unique architecture and character that define our heritage neighborhoods.”
Round seven makes $900,000 available for new and existing homeowners to revitalize their properties within the Davenport DREAM Project area. Funding is available for owner-occupied properties in designated neighborhoods. Homeowners selected for grants in round seven will be notified by December.
