The YWCA Quad Cities has announced that its Putting for Power Golf Experience has been forced to reschedule to Thursday, Sept. 21, at The Forge @ Palmer Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf. Registration is now open.
The event, which was initially planned for Monday, July 24, was postponed due “to circumstances out of our control,” the Rock Island-based YW said in a news release.

The inaugural event, which is being organized by women from the Power of the W committee, will support the YWCA and the programs it provides to Quad Cities children and families. All proceeds from this year’s event will go to the YWCA Is On The Move capital campaign for its new state-of-the-art headquarters, now under construction in downtown Rock Island.
Putting for Power will be presented by Ascentra Credit Union. The unique 18-hole putting experience will take place at The Forge, which features four massive putting surfaces and 18 fun and engaging holes – suited for golfers of all levels.
To register, visit here. Registration is $50 for singles and $200 for a four-person team.
Those who pre-registered for the original date will have their registrations transferred and honored on the new date. Those now unable to attend can request a refund. New registrations also are being accepted.
Registration for Putting for Power includes a signature event golf ball, two drink tickets and live music by Lojo Russo, a free-spirited blend of Americana rhythm and roots. The day’s featured food truck will be Schaa-Bo’s Korean Fusion Food Truck.
The YW’s new facility promises Better Care from Birth to Five! A first-of-its-kind learning approach, the “new continuity of care” model will enhance the relationship between caregivers and young children by keeping them in the same setting with the same team of providers from birth to age 5. It will be the only such Quad Cities center and only the second in Illinois to offer the learning model.
