WIU-QC, ImpactLife to host blood drive Nov. 8

Western Illinois University-Quad Cities will host an ImpactLife Blood Drive from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Riverfront Hall, rooms 103 and 104, Moline.

Blood is essential in helping aid, improve and save lives, according to a news release from WIU. While many folks donate blood after disasters, blood is needed year-round. Because blood cannot be substituted, donors provide the only supply for those in need, the release states.

ImpactLife is the exclusive provider of blood products and services to more than 120 hospitals across four states.

Appointments for the blood drive are encouraged. Walk-ins also are welcome. A photo ID is required, and masks are optional. Donors should eat before donating.

To schedule an appointment, email Shelbee Bradley at SM-Bradley@wiu.edu or visit this website.
