The Western Illinois University Alumni Association is launching the 2024 Western Illinois University (WIU) Alumni Directory Project in collaboration with Publishing Concepts.
“We are pleased to announce the partnership between the WIU Alumni Association and our Office of Alumni Relations once again with PCI, based out of Texas, on the 2024 WIU Alumni Directory Project,” Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations Amy Spelman said in a WIU news release.
Through mail and email, PCI will reach out to WIU graduates to participate in the project over the next six months. The project will provide important updates to the WIU database so it may better serve alumni. It also will improve communication and engagement, and enhance the university’s national rankings.
Grads should confirm
“We’ve assembled the information we currently have on file, and now ask WIU graduates to confirm the accuracy and fill in any information gaps,” Ms. Spelman said in the release. “So many of our graduates have been engaged with Western over the years, but there may be some individual information missing that would help us provide better opportunities for our graduates to remain active with their alma mater.
“We always appreciate knowing where our alumni live and work, and we are also interested in knowing about their successes so we can share them with our students, as well as find ways to communicate better with our alumni,” she added.
Graduates may then purchase a printed or digital directory, as well as WIU merchandise.
“To verify data, we encourage those who have received the postcard or email to call the number listed, as each person has received a personal invitation ID#,” Ms. Spelman said. “If you recently verified your alumni data, thank you for your assistance.”
