Western Illinois University has launched a new telephone line dedicated to assisting prospective students and their families who prefer to communicate in Spanish.
The new resource aims to ensure Spanish-speaking students can easily access information about the academic programs, scholarship opportunities and campus life WIU offers, the university said in a news release.
“We are excited to add this resource for our Spanish-speaking students and families,” said Doug Freed, director of Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Services. “We want to provide our prospective students with this option so they can connect easily with WIU.”
Spanish-speaking prospective students and their families are encouraged to contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office to learn more about the opportunities available at WIU. The dedicated Spanish-language line is now available to help guide students through the admissions process, answer questions and provide information tailored to their needs.
To speak with someone in Spanish, contact the WIU Undergraduate Admissions office at (309) 298-3129.
