Purchasing a sweet treat next week can help Bethany for Children and Families.
Whitey’s Ice Cream has again offered to donate proceeds from the sales of ice cream cones to Bethany for Children and Families through its Cones for Kids program. The Quad Cities ice cream maker will donate half the sales of the cones it sells on Monday, June 17, to the Moline-based agency.
“Bethany is a fantastic cause and the support shown by the Quad City community has been amazing over the years. We are proud to continue the tradition,” Jeff Tunberg, co-owner of Whitey’s Ice Cream, said in a news release.
Christina McNamara-Schmidt, Bethany’s director of development & communication, added: “Bethany continues to expand its caseload to help families stay together, place children in safe, loving homes, and get homeless individuals off the streets and into housing. The agency is grateful for its longstanding partnership with Whitey’s.”
All Whitey’s locations will participate in Cones for Kids.
