Volunteers sought for Stamp Out Hunger on May 13

Stamp Out Hunger

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) is joining forces with River Bend Food Bank and United Way QC for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive coming up on Saturday, May 13.

To contribute to the cause, Quad Citians are asked to donate non-perishable food items by placing them next to their mailboxes before mail is delivered that day. Carriers will then collect the donations, which will stay in the community, according to the United Way.

The organizations also are seeking volunteers for drivers, unloaders and more. To register, visit here.

This partnership is more than 30 years in the making, according to the United Way, and it plays a critical role in “stamping out hunger” for area children and families who rely on community food pantries.
