Van Horn Alfa Romeo Fiat of Davenport closed its doors Friday

Van Horn Alfa Romeo-Fiat of Davenport has closed its doors, some customers learned in a Friday, Sept 30, email. The company expressed regret at the closure, but offered no reason for shutting the doors of its distinctive building fronting Interstate 80.

Van Horn’s Facebook page was no longer available Monday, Oct. 3, and its website was listed as inactive this morning.

Customers who previously had their vehicles serviced at the 323 Research Parkway, Davenport, location were urged to reach out remotely to Van Horn’s customer service team. Its “Oil For Life customers” were told they could redeem their benefits at Van Horn Ford Chevrolet of Newhall, Iowa. That Benton County community is located in the Cedar Rapids metropolitan statistical area.

The Van Horn Alfa Romeo-Fiat closing email, obtained by the QCBJ, said in part: “We’re sorry to inform you that Van Horn Alfa Romeo Fiat of Davenport will be permanently closing effective immediately. We truly appreciate your business over the past four years, and we are honored to have been part of such a wonderful community.”

“Today we close our doors for the last time,” the letter dated Friday said. “We hope to do business with you again in the future through one of our other 15 locations. You can visit the Van Horn Automotive Group website at www.vhcars.com or contact us at 563-345-7000.”
