UnityPoint Health will host a free community event to educate the public about surgical weight loss options from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 in the Jardine Auditorium at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, 2701 17th St.
The “Bariatric Program Informational Event” will feature experts from Trinity Weight Management Specialists. They will discuss bariatric procedures offered at UnityPoint Health and answer questions in a supportive setting.
The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited to the first 100 guests. Registration is required by Monday, Jan. 12, 2026,. It can be done online or by calling (309) 779-4400.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample protein shakes abd have their weight taken on a bariatric scale. They also will receive information on insurance requirements, physical therapy and nutrition.
