UnityPoint Health, and two UnityPoint Health foundations have received national recognition for their philanthropy efforts.
UnityPoint Health was recognized recently by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) as one of the top health care organizations for giving nationwide during fiscal year 2024. AHP also named UnityPoint Health a 2024 High Performer and placed among the top 25% of health care organizations.
Additionally, two UnityPoint Health foundations – Trinity Health Foundation, which serves the Quad Cities area, and UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Foundation – earned distinguished AHP recognition.
Trinity Health Foundation was recognized as an Overall Productivity High Performer and a 2025 Community Hospital High Performer. Both honors place the foundation amongst the top 25% of health care foundations in the country.
“Being recognized nationally is a meaningful reflection of the generosity we see every day here in the Quad Cities,” Mary Macumber-Schmidt, Trinity Health Foundation president, said in a news release. “Because of our donors and community partners, we’re able to invest in programs, technology and services that directly support patients and caregivers close to home. This recognition reinforces the impact philanthropy has on improving access to care and meeting the growing needs of our community.”
“This recognition highlights the dedication of our philanthropy teams and the generosity of donors, including team members, whose support makes this important work possible,” added David Stark, UnityPoint Health chief philanthropy officer. “Every gift helps support patients, families, caregivers and communities during the moments that matter most.”
