United Way Quad Cities will host its “Ready by 5 THRIVE: Women United” luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport. The event aims to highlight the critical role women play in shaping the future of early childhood development within the community.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with the program running from noon to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America.
Dr. Ronald F. Ferguson, an economist and founder of The Basics, a national movement focused on supporting families during a child’s most critical developmental years, will deliver the keynote address.
The event also will feature a panel of local women sharing their experiences and insights on supporting families and ensuring children are “Ready by 5.”
Tickets are $60 per person, $450 for a table of eight. The deadline to RSVP is Wednesday, Sept. 10. Register at this link.
Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit Ready by 5, United Way Quad Cities‘ parent engagement initiative that provides families with resources to support their child’s learning from birth.
