UK’s The Tubs to play June 13 at Rozz Tox

Ragged Records will present The Tubs, a “jangle pop” band from the United Kingdom, on Friday, June 13, at Rozz Tox, 2108 3rd Ave., Rock Island.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and music begins at 8 p.m.

Described as being for fans of Richard Thompson, Sebadoh, R.E.M., and The Smiths, The Tubs will be touring in support of their new album, “Cotton Crown,” available from Trouble In Mind Records.

Opening acts include Subatlantic, an indie rock post-punk four-piece duo from the Quad Cities, who recently released their new album, “Say It Again,” on LP/CD. Also performing will be Camp Regret, a new post-punk band from the Quad Cities featuring former members of Meth and Goats, Ice Hockey, and Lazer Mountain. Fronted by Jon Burns, also known as Centaur Noir, Camp Regret is described as having a screamy Fugazi sound with Midwest math rock influences.
