Trinity Muscatine hosts Back-to-School clinic

    MUSCATINE, Iowa — Trinity Muscatine Public Health will host its fourth annual Back-to-School Health Clinic from noon to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at McKinley Elementary School, 621 Kindler Ave.

    The free clinic, held in partnership with local health and community organizations, offers a variety of services to help children prepare for the upcoming school year. Services include dental screenings, topical fluoride application, vision screenings, lead testing and developmental screenings for children up to age 5.

    Due to the event’s popularity, attendees should anticipate some wait times for services. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed by visiting this link.

    Staff will be available to answer questions about immunizations, insurance and other resource needs. Several community partners also will be on-site to provide information about local programming and support services.

    “We’re excited to host this event for the fourth year in a row,” Kate Arndt, community resource specialist at Trinity Muscatine Public Health, said in a news release. “It’s a great opportunity for families to access critical health services in one place before the school year begins.”
