BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tractor Supply Company today announced the official declaration of Nov. 1, 2025, as National Hometown Heroes Day to recognize and celebrate military service members, veterans and first responders.
Tractor Supply stores nationwide, including in Moline, will be donating $500 each to local fire, police or veteran organizations. It totals more than $1 million in community giving.
The special day falls on the first Saturday of November during the retailer’s annual Hometown Heroes Days event. That two-week period runs from National First Responders Day, Oct. 28, to Veterans Day, Nov. 11. It features promotions, activities and special guests.
“The Hometown Heroes program reflects our deep gratitude for those who serve—military members, veterans and first responders,” said Tractor Supply President and CEO Hal Lawton,. “These Heroes embody courage and commitment, and we’re proud to honor them year-round. With National Hometown Heroes Day, we’re taking that recognition further by uniting communities across the country to celebrate their service and sacrifice.”
To honor those who serve, Hometown Heroes will receive a 10% discount on First Responders Day, Tuesday, Oct. 28, National Hometown Heroes Day, Saturday, Nov. 1, and Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.
In-store celebrations
Tractor Supply will celebrate National Hometown Heroes Day on Saturday, Nov. 1, with special in-store events nationwide. Each store selected its community partner for the $500 donation based on local needs.
Customers also can meet local Heroes and participate in various activities. They include:
- Touch-a-Truck events with local fire, police and rescue departments.
- Thank a Hero letter-writing opportunities.
- A digital “Honor Wall” to recognize Hometown Heroes.
- Americana craft activities for children.
- Giveaways.
- Doorbuster discounts on a wide variety of products
Additionally, verified Hometown Heroes will receive exclusive discounts from brands like Victor, Purina Dog Chow, Nutrena ProForce and Standlee, as well as TSC Towing, seasonal items and farm and ranch favorites available in their Neighbor’s Club wallet.
Stores may also host additional events such as safety classes, rescue demonstrations, “Shop with a Hero” opportunities, cookoffs, food trucks and live music.
