Total Solutions, based in Davenport, announced it has hired a new chief growth officer in a move to help expand its PEO (Professional Employer Organization) services across the nation.
Angela Morris, an experienced leader in the PEO industry, began in her new role on Friday, Nov. 1.
In a news release from Wednesday, Nov. 20, Total Solutions said Ms. Morris will lead the strategic initiative to extend its services to more businesses nationwide.
According to a Total Solutions spokesman, the company previously was licensed in only a handful of states, mostly in the Midwest. But under Ms. Morris’ direction, it is working to be licensed in additional states.
Located at 111 W. 76th St., Davenport, Total Solutions provides best in class accounting, HR, and marketing services for small businesses. Its team of experts can take care of administrative tasks for entrepreneurs and support small businesses by providing outsourced expertise, with in-house commitment.
Prior to joining Total Solutions, Ms. Morris most recently was chief growth officer at Zynergia, a human relations consulting firm in Indiana. Over the past three years, she served in various leadership roles.
“Angela brings a wealth of experience in the PEO industry, having successfully driven growth strategies and scaled other PEOs throughout her career,” Kristin Berry, president of Total Solutions, said in Total Solutions’ release. “Her vision, expertise, and leadership will be pivotal as we expand our reach and continue to deliver exceptional services to our clients.”
Ms. Morris’ new position will be remote as she resides in the metro Charlotte, North Carolina, area, her LinkedIn profile says. She is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, and Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
In its release, Total Solutions said Ms. Morris is best known for her servant leadership style, her commitment to delivering a “white-glove” service experience, and her ability to build lasting relationships.
Her 18-year career in the human resources and PEO fields spans the full spectrum of operational management including HR, compliance, benefits administration, payroll administration and tax, risk management, learning and development, talent acquisition, client experience, and new client implementations. She has transformed PEOs from seed-stage startups into thriving enterprises and served in leadership at three of the nation’s largest PEOs. Ms. Morris said she knew the partnership with Total Solutions “would be a great fit” after Ms. Berry shared with her “that one of the company’s core values is ‘We do the right thing, always.’”
“Partnering with a company of integrity means building a trusted relationship you can count on,” Ms. Morris added.
In an earlier interview with the QCBJ, Ms. Berry discussed the company’s future growth and expansion. In April 2023, she predicted Total Solutions would double its staff of 20 and the PEO would go from serving 275 ‘co-employees’ to 875 by the end of 2023.
Total Solutions was founded in 2015 by Quad Cities entrepreneur Aaron Tennant, who then owned Tennant Trucking and other companies, and saw the need for a company focused on providing back office functions and other administrative services to other small businesses.
