The burgers, pizzas, tacos and other goodies offered by food trucks are all coming to Bettendorf this Saturday, June 17.
The second annual Food Truck Fight in Bettendorf will be from noon to 8 p.m. at the Isle Parkway.
The event, which has a $10 admission fee, will feature about 20 food trucks, live music all day, and activities for children including face painting and balloons.
Food trucks scheduled to be at the event include: Arty’s Ice Cream & Grill, Kelley Girls Woodfire Pizza, Los Primos Mexican Grill, Famous Dave’s and others.
“This is the best lineup we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to share it with you on Saturday,” according to the Food Truck Fight Facebook page.
Each truck will have a $5 feature item in addition to their full menu. There also will be a beverage tent.
During the day, customers can vote for their favorite truck. A Food Truck Fight champion is scheduled to be named at about 7 p.m. (Last year, Arty’s Ice Cream & Grill won that title.)
The three bands scheduled to play during the event are: Wontu Trees at noon to 2 p.m.; For Those About To Yacht at 2:30-4:30 p.m.; and Far Out 283 from 5-8 p.m.
During the first Food Truck Fight in Bettendorf last year, more than 10,000 people attended the event.
“I think we broke downtown Bettendorf,” Bobby Ray Bunch, the event’s owner and organizer, told the QCBJ after the Food Truck Fight. “The lines just never slowed down.”
There also will be a Food Truck Fight from noon to 8 p.m., Sept. 16, at Riverside Park in Muscatine, Iowa.
Since the inaugural event in 2017, Food Truck Fights have attracted more than 40,000 food truck fans across the country.
