Bubba’s 33, an affiliate of Texas Roadhouse, is bringing a restaurant to Davenport marking its first Iowa location.

The new restaurant will be located at the corner of 53rd Street and Ravenwood Drive, directly east of the recently opened Panda Express, according to a news release issued Tuesday, May 27, by the Davenport-based Russell company, the site’s developer.

Russell leaders said they did not have information on when the restaurant would be built or when it would open. Bubba’s 33 representatives on Tuesday also could not comment on the new restaurant’s status.

However, site design work is currently underway for the new restaurant location.

This is a rendering of the new Bubba’s 33 coming to Davenport.

“We can’t wait to bring Bubba’s 33 to Iowa,” said Doug Drens, regional director of real estate at Texas Roadhouse. “Davenport’s energy and growth made it the perfect place for our next location, and we’re excited to serve up scratch-made food for all in the Quad Cities.”

Some of the items on Bubba’s 33 menu include: grilled ribeye dinners, Bubba’s lasagna, pork tenderloin sandwiches, monte cristo sandwiches, burgers, wings, chicken tenders, fried chicken sandwiches and much more.

Founded in 2013 by Kent Taylor, the visionary behind Texas Roadhouse, Bubba’s 33 was created with a focus on hand-crafted meals, genuine hospitality, and a fun, sports-centric atmosphere. With more than 50 existing Bubba’s 33 locations across 15 states, the brand has gained popularity nationwide and now is making its debut in the Iowa market as part of a larger national expansion.

“We are excited to bring additional development to this national chain that offers a truly unique dining experience to the community,” said Damen Trebilcock, vice president of real estate at Russell. “With the proven success of Texas Roadhouse in our town, we’re confident Bubba’s 33 will be a strong addition to the Quad Cities.”

This development is in collaboration with Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. (JLL) and Hawkeye Commercial Real Estate.

Bubba’s 33 joins the growing list of businesses that have been brought to the Russell-developed site known as Birchwood South, including Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s, Rock Valley Physical Therapy, Mister Car Wash, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, and Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh. Additionally, Russell is currently developing a new 10,000-square-foot retail center south of Panda Express, with two leases already signed for the space.

Bubba’s 33 serves up “food for all” with options featuring homemade stone-baked pizzas, signature half pound burgers, pastas with scratch-made sauces, ice-cold beer, and hand-crafted cocktails, according to restaurant officials.

The first Bubba’s 33 opened in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 2013. The chain has since grown to more than 50 locations in 15 states.
