Tamera Mowry-Housley to lead Women Lead Change conference

The Women Lead Change (WLC) Quad Cities Conference on Thursday, Oct. 6, will be headlined by actress and television personality Tamera Mowry-Housley.

Tickets for the event at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center in downtown Bettendorf are $199 per person. Admission includes a copy of Ms. Mowry-Housley’s newly released book, “You Should Sit Down for This.”

Ms. Mowry-Housley is known for her roles in “Sister, Sister,” “Twitches,” “Tia & Tamera,” as a co-host on “The Real” and as a host of Prime Video’s “Dr. Seuss Baking Show.” She lives in Northern California with her husband and two children.

In her memoir, she shares stories about exiling herself from the world of beauty pageants, the pressures of being a teenage star, her struggle with rejection, the craziness of dating later in life, the challenges of balancing family and career, and why it’s OK for women to hide out in their closets when they just need a few minutes of peace. She also doesn’t shy away from the tough experiences, hilarious missteps, and big lessons it took to build a thriving career and the full life she’s living today.
