CLINTON, Iowa – This community is getting ready for a country music fest that will feature some of today’s top music acts, including Whiskey Myers, Riley Green and Jason Aldean.

The 2025 Tailgate N’ Tallboys country music fest, which will be held Thursday through Saturday, June 5-7, is set for Clinton’s riverfront.

Headlining the event will be Mr. Aldean, known for hits such as “Dirt Road Anthem” and “Try That in a Small Town.” Joining him will be Mr. Green, whose songs include “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” The southern rockers Whiskey Myers round out the headliners. The headline music acts are scheduled to begin about 9:30 p.m. nightly.

During the most recent Clinton State of the City address, Mayor Scott Maddasion described the Tailgate music fest as one of the most important celebrations of the year.

Last summer’s festival was a great success that attracted about 35,000 to the riverfront over the three-day celebration. Music fans attending hailed from 42 states and two foreign countries – Canada and France, the mayor said during the fall 2024 address.

The music festival has a $6.1 million impact each year to the local economy, according to Cliton economic development leaders.

Here are the music acts scheduled for the Tailgate N’ Tallboys:

  • Thursday, June 5: Whiskey Myers, Wyatt Flores, Bayker Blankenship and the Joe Stamm Band.
  • Friday, June 6: Riley Green, Ella Langley,  Ole 60 and Preston Cooper.
  • Saturday, June 7:  Jason Aldean, Dylan Schneider and Graham Barham.

In addition to the music acts, the Tailgate events will feature DJ Cliffy D as the festival DJ, and Raised Rowdy will be the host.
