St. Ambrose University in Davenport recently announced a new partnership with Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf to offer students a direct pathway to a quality undergraduate education at SAU.
The two institutions have signed a Guaranteed Admissions Agreement. It offers students a direct pathway to becoming a student at St. Ambrose, a news release announcing the pact said. The agreement underscores SAU’s commitment to making higher education valuable, accessible and more affordable for students from diverse backgrounds. It further strengthens its role as a leader in the Quad Cities community, St. Ambrose leaders said.
“We are thrilled to partner with Rivermont Collegiate to offer students a seamless transition to higher education at St. Ambrose,” said Toby Arquette, vice president for strategic growth, marketing and digital transformation at St. Ambrose.
“This agreement aligns with our mission and vision as we empower students to achieve their full potential and to make a positive impact in the world. This is where students come to become who they are meant to be.”
Under the agreement, students who spend a minimum of two years at Rivermont Collegiate or Rivermont Collegiate International Campus and meet specific academic requirements will be guaranteed admission to the university.
The initiative reflects the university’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and providing opportunities for students to advance their education in an innovative environment rooted in faith and tradition, the release said.
Pact opens doors
“This agreement is more than just a pathway to higher education; it is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the Quad Cities. By working together, Rivermont Collegiate and St. Ambrose University are opening doors for students and reinforcing the value of a quality education that is both affordable and impactful,” Max Roach, headmaster for Rivermont Collegiate, said in the release.
The agreement takes immediate effect for students set to graduate from Rivermont Collegiate. Rivermont has about 200 students. This year, the school had 24 students in its graduating class.
St. Ambrose and Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, recently announced plans to merge. The agreement will place Mount Mercy under the leadership of SAU after a transitional period of two years, both effectively becoming one institution.
