Small Business Credit program available in Iowa

    CLINTON, Iowa — Businesses in Iowa could benefit from a $96 million investment by the Department of Treasury. The State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) aims to boost small businesses, startups and manufacturers across the state.

    An informational panel with leaders from the organizations distributing these funds to entrepreneurs will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Grow Clinton Office, 721 S. 2nd St. A light lunch will be provided. 

    The SSBCI funds will prioritize venture capital and investment in scalable innovation companies through several programs, including:

    • Small Business Collateral Support Program.
    • Manufacturing 4.0 Grants for Equipment Upgrades.
    • Venture Capital Innovation Fund Program.
    • Venture Capital Co-Investment Fund Program.
