Senior Star named to top community list by U.S. News

Senior Star at Elmore Place has been rated as a Best Senior Living community by U.S. News & World Report in independent living, assisted living and memory care categories

This is the second year Elmore Place has received this recognition in all three categories since the survey’s inception in 2022, according to a news release.

“We are honored to be on this list,” said Anja Rogers, Senior Star CEO, in the company’s news release. “To be recognized by a trusted source like U.S. News & World Report reaffirms that we are accomplishing our mission to be ‘exceptional stewards’ of the lives entrusted to our care. For us, ‘it’s a love thing,’ and so this recognition confirms to our associates that the love they serve with has not gone unnoticed.”

The purpose of these ratings is to help seniors and their families learn more about senior living communities and determine which will provide the care and services they need, the release states. For the survey, residents and families from more than 3,000 communities were asked to rate their experiences in a number of areas, including the kindness of staff, variety of activities, food and dining experience quality, caregiving quality, and others.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Senior Star operates eight retirement communities in four states, employing nearly 900 associates.
