AMES, Iowa — Leah Pitts has been named assistant state director for operations and compliance for America’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Iowa, the organization announced.
Ms. Pitts has more than five years of experience within the Iowa SBDC network. She previously served as Regulatory Data Coordinator. In her new role, she will provide statewide leadership and strategic oversight of daily operations. Her focus bill be on operational consistency, regulatory compliance and performance improvement.
“Leah is a deeply respected colleague and leader within the Iowa SBDC,” said State Director of America’s SBDC IowaAustin Strawhacker,. “Over the past five years, she has poured an extraordinary amount of care, diligence, and integrity into strengthening our operations, data, and compliance.”
Ms. Pitts holds an MBA from the University of South Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University.
