Saturday Legislative Coffee meetings set for Clinton County

    CLINTON COUNTY, Iowa – A series of Saturday Legislative Coffees have been scheduled for Camanche and DeWitt, beginning on Saturday, Jan. 24.

    The events will be presented by Grow Clinton and DeWitt Chamber & Development Corp.

    The coffee meetings will be:

    • Saturday, Jan. 14, from 9-10 a.m. at Camanche City Hall, 818 7th Ave. A second meeting will be 11 a.m. to noon at  the DeWitt Community Center, 512 10th St.
    • Saturday, Feb. 28,  from 9-10 a.m. at Camanche City Hall. A second meeting will be from 11 a.m. to noon at  the DeWitt Community Center. 
    • Saturday, March 14, from 9-10 a.m. at Camanche City Hall and 11 a.m. to noon at  the DeWitt Community Center. 
    • Saturday, April 18. A coffee meeting will be from 9-10 a.m. at Camanche City Hall and a second meeting will be 11 a.m. to noon at  the DeWitt Community Center. 

    The events will feature a moderated discussion with state elected officials including: Reps. Tom Determann and Norlin Mommsen, and Sen. Mike Zimmer.

    “We thank our elected officials for dedicating their entire Saturday morning to these coffees,” said Matt Parbs, Grow Clinton’s vice president  of Community and Economic Development. “Having the two coffees provides everyone in the county an opportunity to attend and ask their representatives questions on issues that matter to them.”
