141 factory workers to be laid off in Waterloo, Des Moines

On the heels of layoffs that hit its Quad Cities factories last month, John Deere confirmed today, Sept. 18, that 141 manufacturing employees at two of its other Iowa plants – Waterloo Operations and Des Moines Works – will be laid off.
