Russell ranked on the Engineering News Record’s Top 400 ranking

Russell Group, Inc. has again been ranked on the Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Top 400 Contractor List.

The Davenport-based Russell ranked No. 378 for 2021 – moving up 10 spots from the 388th place ranking in 2020. It previously ranked No. 380 in 2019.

The annual ranking by ENR is based on revenues generated the previous year.

Despite industry-wide challenges brought on by COVID-19 and supply chain issues,

Russell continued to experience significant growth in 2021. The company, founded in 1983 in Bettendorf by Jim Russell, completed several large local projects in 2021 as well as expanded to the Kansas City market and continued its growth in St. Louis.

“Ranking on the ENR Top 400 list is a very notable achievement, and one we do not take lightly,” Caitlin Russell, the company’s president, said in a news release. “Even with significant growth of our other offices, the Quad Cities is our home and always will be. We take great pride in being a centrally located firm, who is being recognized on a national level. It helps make our community even stronger.”

Russell has delivered more than $3 billion in projects across 33 states.

Among Russell’s local projects last year were:

  • Augustana College, the Peter J. Lindberg, M.D., Center for Health & Human Performance, Rock Island. The 52,000-square-foot facility serves as the home for the public health program and new kinesiology major, featuring classrooms, facility offices, student and faculty collaborative spaces, and a state-of-the-art aquatic center and natatorium with 10-lane competition pool.
  • University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art, Iowa City. The new 86,200-square-foot stand-alone museum features gallery areas, visible collection art storage, art conservation, administrative offices, three-story lightwell, open common areas and outdoor terraces. The three-story building will also include a partially submerged parking level below the program spaces.

The ENR is a national news publication focused on proving engineering and construction news, analysis, commentary, and data to help construction industry professionals. It reports on the top design firms, both architects and engineers, and the top construction companies as well as projects in the United States and around the world.
