Rowe leads Rauch I and Rauch II Family Foundation

Gary Rowe, Rock Island, has been named executive director of the Rauch I and Rauch II Family Foundations. 

He took over Friday, April 1, as leader of the foundations which were established in 1997 through the estates of brothers Albert and Lester Rauch, who were Rock Island natives, according to a news release.

Mr. Rowe boasts nearly 40 years of experience in nonprofit administration and development work, including 19 years at Bethany for Children & Families and six years at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities. 

Most recently he has been executive director of the Rock Island Community Foundation. He will continue in that role, according to Rauch foundations’ release.

The Rauch I Family Foundation makes “grants to programs and projects for the enhancement of the Rock Island community,’ and the Rauch II Family Foundation makes “grants to programs and projects for the enhancement of Judaism, its traditions and people.”
