Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois (RMHC-EIWI) will hold its inaugural Golf Gala fundraising event from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 17, at Iron Tee Golf, in Bettendorf.Â
Participants can sign up for time slots from 5-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-8 p.m. Iron Tee Golf is tailored for golfers of all skill levels and designed for participants to compete in a high-tech golf game. The new Iron Tee is located at 6609 Iron Tee Way in Bettendorf.Â
Non-golfers also are invited to the Ronald McDonald House fundraiser for socializing, food and drinks. To purchase tickets or sign up to sponsor the gala, visit rmhc-eiwi.org/events/golf-gala.
Organizers plan to make the event a yearly occurrence. It will benefit RMHC-EIWI and its Ronald McDonald House. The fundraiser is being hosted with support from Quad Cities area McDonald’s restaurant franchise owners and RMHC-EIWI board members.
These houses offers free lodging for families traveling 20 miles or more away with children ages 21 and receiving medical care. On average, 75 Quad Cities area families per year stay at the Ronald McDonald House while their children receive medical care at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and other regional providers.
