This is a good place to do business,” said Robert Behar, owner of the RNR national franchise, who, along with other RNR top officials and business leaders, was on hand at the ribbon-cutting event.Mr. Behar added that the Davenport store is RNR’s first store in Iowa and there are more to come. He told the crowd that RNR will open 10 more stores in Iowa in the coming months, and company officials are currently scouting locations in Dubuque.Mr. Behar and other RNR Tire officials said they were particularly pleased with the Davenport store’s site – near the very busy intersection of Kimberly Road and Eastern Avenue. RNR’s current home has been the site of numerous businesses over the years. It was once home to the Cherry Buffet restaurant and Habaneros Mexican Buffet.RNR Tire Express has expanded to Davenport with a location at 1510 E. Kimberly Road. CREDIT DAVE THOMPSONThe Davenport RNR Tire Express, which opened for business on Nov. 28, has nine employees, said Ashley Jones, the store’s general manager.“We’ve had a good response from the public. The people who know we’re here like us. Now, it’s just about getting the word out that we’re here,” Ms. Jones added.RNR Tire Express is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.RNR Tire Express is a national franchise retailer with more than 175 locations offering safe, quality tires and custom wheels with affordable payment options, according to the company website.
