Restaurant week signup for eateries ends March 11

Restaurants eager to take advantage of the 2022 Quad Cities Restaurant Week promotion had better hurry. Friday, March 11, is the deadline to sign up to show off their eateries, staff and wares during the regional event that this year runs from March 21-27.

For restaurant owners and operators, who are invited to participate in the Restaurant Week campaign, it’s an opportunity to find new customers and reward regulars as well as boost their ongoing recovery from COVID-19.

Unlike in previous years, the campaign is free for restaurants to participate and open to both dine-in and carryout restaurants. As of Monday, March 8, more than three dozen restaurants had already joined the weeklong event.

There are no special price points or prix-fixe (fixed price) menu requirements, according to Visit Quad Cities, which sponsors the annual event. Though Visit Quad Cities urges restaurants to consider adding special menu items for the promotion and to submit them to Visit Quad Cities by March 15. Participants also are asked to provide two $25 gift cards or certificates for promotional purposes, as well as to promote QC Restaurant Week on social media and to their customers.

In addition to the Restaurant Week deals, patrons also will have a chance to win those restaurant gift certificates. If you purchase a meal from one of the QC Restaurant Week establishments between March 21-27, simply fill out the contest entry form on the website that can be found here and send a picture of your receipt, a photo of yourself at the restaurant, or a photo posing with your carryout meal for a chance to win.

There also still is time for restaurant-goers to reward the people who work at their favorite Quad Cities dining places by nominating them for the Favorite Person in the QC Restaurant Industry awards. Visit  here to nominate favorite chefs, cooks, servers, bartenders, baristas, managers, hosts, cashiers, runners, bussers, dishwashers, and kitchen crew who make it all possible by visiting. Several nominees will be recognized during the week. The nomination deadline is Tuesday, March 22.

Visit Quad Cities said the award is designed for “those in the local restaurant industry who go above and beyond to make experiences special and who bring customer-centric energy to work with them.”

Visit Quad Cities urges foodies to explore www.qcrestaurantweek.com and to keep checking back as new restaurants are being added.
