Rejuvenate Housing Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing neighborhoods and promoting affordable homeownership opportunities, has started renovations on its third home at 527 W. 15th St. in Davenport.

When complete in mid-April, the home will have four bedrooms and two and half bathrooms.

This transformative project, Rejuvenate said in a news release, is made possible through collaborative efforts. It includes generous support from Ascentra Credit Union, the Quad City Housing Cluster, and the City of Davenport’s Extreme Dream program.

By focusing on the unique character of Davenport’s legacy neighborhoods, Rejuvenate aims to blend homeownership opportunities with other forms of housing to create vibrant and sustainable communities. The third home in the central city area aligns with Davenport’s Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption District. It showcases a shared vision for neighborhood rejuvenation.

“This initiative represents a significant step towards building communities that thrive. By combining various housing options, we are fostering inclusivity and diversity within our neighborhoods,” said Scott Dahlke, executive director of Rejuvenate Housing Inc.

Gwen Tombergs, the organization’s board president, added: “Our focus is on creating spaces where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We are grateful for the support from our partners, Ascentra Credit Union, the Quad City Housing Cluster, and the City of Davenport, as we work together to uplift our community.”
