Quad Cities tree service joins the Arbor Masters fold

Advantage Tree Service, which for years has provided tree and plant care services in the Davenport, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City areas, is now an Arbor Masters Company.

The Kansas City-based Arbor Masters announced Tuesday, Nov. 1, that the move allows it to expand its region-leading plant health care services to customers in southeastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois areas, and it grows the Arbor Masters employee count to 168 across five states. That includes Advantage’s Cedar Rapids area location at 2226 Springville Road, Springville, Iowa.

The acquisition, which took effect July 1, means Arbor Masters now services markets in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Based in Davenport at 3100 Hickory Grove Road, Advantage Tree Service has been providing professional tree care and removal services in the Midwest for over 17 years servicing a large portion of southeastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois. Arbor Masters has been providing tree and plant health care services for more than 65 years. Both organizations have a team of ISO-certified arborists.

Arbor Masters Founder and CEO Ron Keith added that the company is excited to extend its plant and tree health care services to a broader audience.

“Advantage shares our same passion and commitment to taking care of our local trees,” Mr. Keith said. “We have been serving and, more importantly, educating communities throughout the Midwest for nearly 70 years. We are excited to expand that expertise and influence to customers across Iowa.”

“Plants and trees are an essential part of our community, and we stress the importance of continued care to all our customers,” Regional Manager Jeremy Bowling said a news release from the parties. “This new partnership with Arbor Masters gives us the ability to educate and serve more Iowans than ever.”

Advantage also announced plans to grow its customer base with a new office in Des Moines on Monday, Nov 7. Arbor Masters CEO Bernie Zarda says that customers across the Midwest will benefit from the company’s growth.

“Our goal is always to bring industry-leading plant health care to our communities,” Mr. Zarda said. “While other companies focus their efforts on tree removal, Arbor Masters and Advantage stress the importance of taking care of our plants and developing thriving ecological communities. Whether we are taking preventative action, assisting in emergency services, or consulting, our professionals always have plants’ interests in mind.”

Established in 1956, Arbor Masters is a family-owned and operated tree and plant health care service that said it believes happy trees equal a happy you. For more information, visit arbormasters.com.
