Aspiring pilots can now earn a private pilot license through a new Professional Aeronautics Certificate (PAC) program, a partnership between Quad Cities Aero and Black Hawk College.
The new certificate program aims to address the nation’s growing shortage of professional pilots.
An open house will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Quad Cities Aero, 3100 69th Ave., Moline, on the grounds of the Quad Cities International Airport. Attendees can explore the flight school, learn about the 45-hour PAC program, connect with aviation professionals and discover career opportunities in the field.
The PAC program is designed to meet industry demand while elevating training quality, safety standards and career readiness. It will officially launch in 2026, with classes scheduled for Wednesday nights from 6-9 p.m., from Jan. 21 to May 6. Classroom instruction will take place at the Black Hawk College Quad-Cities Campus in Moline, with practical flight training conducted at Quad Cities Aero’s flight school at the airport.
Pizza will be provided at the open house, and seating is limited. Attendees are asked to RSVP here. For more information about PAC, visit QuadCitiesAero.com/PAC.
