The Quad Cities International Airport (QCIA) saw an 11% year-over-year increase in passenger counts in March 2025, compared to March 2024. Total enplanements last month also marked the Moline airport’s highest monthly total since December 2019.A total of 61,994 passengers traveled through the airport this March, which a QCIA news release said reflects the continued upward trajectory in post-pandemic recovery and regional air travel demand.“This milestone reflects our community's growing confidence in air travel and the continued strength of our airline partnerships,” QCIA Executive Director Benjamin Leischner said in the release. "We're proud to be a gateway to opportunity and connectivity for the Quad Cities."Driving the momentum is strong performance across all carriers, with standout growth from Allegiant saw a 27% increase in enplaned passengers compared to the same time last year, the March report said. “This increase can be attributed to new seasonal service to Sarasota, Florida, popular for leisure travelers looking to escape the Midwest winter,” QCIA added. American Airlines also continues to provide vital connectivity with its twice-daily service to Charlotte, North Carolina, and serves as a key global hub for both business and connecting travel, the airport said. Meanwhile, daily service from Moline to Dallas is one of the airline’s highest performing regional routes. It continues to see increased frequencies as demand and availability of aircraft allows.
Up 9% year to date
With 165,021 total passengers served so far this calendar year, a 9% increase over the same period in 2024, the release said QCIA remains committed to enhancing the travel experience through reliable service, strategic route development and a customer-first focus.Quad Cities International Airport in Moline serves passengers from western Illinois and eastern Iowa.
