
The Quad Cities International Airport (QCIA) is hosting a TSA PreCheck enrollment event in collaboration with IDEMIA, a TSA PreCheck authorized enrollment provider.
Travelers will be able to enroll at the QCIA at 2200 60th Ave, Moline, now through Friday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 to 5 p.m. The program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents.
The enrollment site will be in the QCIA Badging Office. It’s located in the west end lobby of the terminal. Enter through Door 2 and turn right.
Benefits of enrolling in the TSA PreCheck include:
- Shorter wait times at security checkpoints,
- Keeping shoes and belts on
- Not having to unpack laptops or compliant liquids
- Children 12 and under can join a parent/guardian with TSA PreCheck.
The enrollment process is quick,. It requires that applicants provide proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints and a photo. Appointments can be expedited by filling out the application online beforehand.
Registration is strongly recommended to decrease wait time, but walkups will be accepted as time allows. Enrollees should select MLI as their location in the online popup and choose a timeslot on the registration website.
Most passengers will receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days. The KTN number must be added to flight reservations to enjoy TSA PreCheck benefits.
The in-person enrollment IDEMIA offers TSA PreCheck enrollment for $78 and if approved, travelers get a five-year membership with the program. Learn more about how TSA PreCheck works and the benefits here.
