QCBJ to host Health Care Symposium March 20

Learn about the many changes sweeping the health care landscape as the QCBJ hosts its first-ever Health Care Symposium on Wednesday, March 20, at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center. 

Leaders from Quad Cities area hospitals and other health care providers will provide insights on the current state of the industry as well as answer questions from attendees. 

The symposium, which includes a luncheon, is open to the public and will be from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Bettendorf convention center. Register here. 

The event is sponsored by Gold Sponsor: Vivid Clear Rx, a new subsidiary of Hy-Vee providing pharmacy benefit services; and Silver Sponsor: University of Iowa Healthcare.  

This event will feature presentations from:

  • Dr. Cheryl True, MD, DipABLM, FACLM – board chair of Quad City Health Initiative.
  • Amy Wadstrom – president of Vivid Clear Rx.

The event also will include a panel discussion, moderated by Marcia Lense, KWQC-TV6 anchor and producer. The panel speakers are:

  • Tom Bowman, CEO of Community Health Care.
  • Christopher Crome, chief medical officer of Genesis Health System.
  • Mike Horsfield, CEO of Rock Valley Physical Therapy.
  • Shawn Morrow, CEO of UnityPoint Trinity.

The event begins with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by the program at 11 a.m. 

Early bird tickets, purchased by Friday, Feb. 28, are $75 for an individual or $575 for a table of eight. After Feb. 28, tickets are $95 apiece or $760 for a table of eight.
