These days Quad Citians can often find Dan Mitchell at Fontaine Consulting, where he serves as program manager for its contract with Constellis, LLC to develop and implement the company’s Layered Extended Security Operations (LEXSO) platform.
Mr. Mitchell said he provides “the full suite of program management services” for a firm that provides end-to-end risk management and comprehensive security solutions to safeguard people and infrastructure globally. LEXSO’s advanced technology services enable real-time situational awareness, multi-sensor data fusion, and autonomous operational workflows tailored to unique mission environments.
Fontaine Consulting, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Rock Island and the company “maintains an excellent relationship with the Army’s Rock Island Arsenal and the local community,” Mr. Mitchell said.
Fontaine provides strategic planning and logistical expertise to organizations seeking expansion. It was founded by retired Maj. Gen. Yves Fontaine.
Mr. Mitchell also is president of the Rock Island Arsenal Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). His role, he said, is to define the vision of the local chapter of this national 501(c)(3), recruiting new board members, conduct fundraising and provide support to the soldiers, families and civilians of the Rock Island Arsenal.
Christine Caves, the Quad Cities Chamber’s vice president of business retention, expansion and workforce, said she is pleased to have maintained her contact with the chamber’s former intern. “My experience hosting Dan Mitchell as a SkillBridge Intern was very meaningful,” she said.
“He’s moved on to work outside of economic development, but we remain connected through our shared association with the Quad Cities Veteran Network,” she added. “The multiplier effect of adding Dan to my professional network has been amazing.”
