New businesses and new technologies continue to get a place to grow in the Quad Cities.

Grace Technologies at 1515 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport, is helping with that growth.

Last year, Grace Technologies, which is an electrical safety device manufacturer, started providing space within its walls for a business incubator called Maple Studios.

Maple (along with Grace Technologies) provides space, equipment, administrative support – and most of all, the expertise and experience of other business professionals – to help a business grow from a good idea to an actual business that makes products, employs people and helps the local economy.

In the past few months, Maple Studios has been growing by helping more new companies, such as SteerClear Mirrors. That company creates mountable side mirrors for skid steerloaders.

“Our side-view mirrors are designed to provide a wider view of hard-to-see areas around the machine, reducing the risk of costly incidents on your job site,” according to information from the company.

“Over the past few months, Maple Studios has deepened its community engagement by collaborating with entrepreneurs to foster growth and innovation,”  said Hana Strickler, director of finance and IT at Grace Technologies. “One highlight has been our partnership with SteerClear Mirrors, a new customer who is leveraging our fractional services to enhance their operational capabilities. This addition showcases our commitment to providing flexible, scalable solutions that meet the diverse needs of our clients.”

Maple Studios also continues to help Strategic Automation Services (SAS). That company is designing and building collaborative robots – or “cobots” – that can be used in manufacturing.
