QCBJ hosts 2025 Transportation & Infrastructure Seminar 

A cross-section of Quad Cities transportation leaders will discuss the region’s new and ongoing capital projects and other industry updates at the QCBJ’s Transportation & Infrastructure Seminar on Tuesday, April 8. 

The second annual seminar will feature local and state leaders and a panel discussion by area public works leaders. The educational and networking event will be from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport. 

The main speakers are: 

  • Rachel Bach, John Deere’s Construction & Forestry global manager of tactical marketing and pricing. 
  • Gia Biagi, secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
  • Tom Heinold, chief, Operations Division, Rock Island District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Ben Leischner, executive director, Quad Cities International Airport.
  • Jim Schnoebelen, district engineer for the Iowa DOT. 
  • Robert Sinkler, executive director of Corn Belt Ports.
  • Col. Aaron M. Williams, district commander, Rock Island District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  

The panel discussion will feature these city public works directors: Mike Bartels, Rock Island; Nicole Gleason, Davenport (also the assistant city administrator); Tim Kammler, East Moline director of engineering; Brian Schmidt, Bettendorf; and Denver Schmitt, Moline. Jeff Nelson, CEO and managing director of MetroLINK, will moderate the panel.
