The 2025 Quad-Cities Success Fair – an event to help military veterans and others find jobs in the region – is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at NorthPark Mall in Davenport.
The job fair, hosted by IowaWORKS, is open and free to the public. About 100 employers and community resources will be on hand to speak with jobseekers about thousands of job opportunities in and beyond the Quad Cities region.
“We hope to connect the community with employers and the needed resources to help people succeed,” James Stout, Home Base Iowa coordinator and veteran, said in a news release. “We want to help those people that have recently been job displaced and those who may be looking for a career change.”
IowaWORKS founded the Quad-Cities Success Fair nine years ago to provide hiring resources for veterans and their spouses. Today, the community event has grown to be one of the largest job fairs in Eastern Iowa. The event’s success has also flourished through a partnership with the Illinois Department of Employment Security and Home Base Iowa. Last year, more than 400 people attended.
“Veterans, military personnel and family members, will have the opportunity to have on-site interviews and network with some of the top employers in our region,” Shane Sawyer, veteran career planner, said. “The community is also invited to participate to explore new career opportunities. If you can’t attend the Success Fair, the IowaWORKS center in Davenport can provide additional resume and job-seeking services.”
The IowaWORKS job center is located at 1801 E. Kimberly Road in Davenport. Jobseekers can stop by for assistance in their job searches, resume building, mock interviews and more.
