The Quad Cities region again ranked in the Top 10 Mississippi River Corridor metros for total number of economic development projects in 2025 by Site Selection Magazine.
Site Selection is a bimonthly magazine focusing on corporate real estate, facility planning, and economic development. It serves over many subscribers, including C-suite executives and consultants, providing insights into foreign direct investment, location analysis, and industry trends. Full article available here.
For the total number of projects, the Quad Cities came in fifth with 16 total projects. When looking at projects per capita, the Quad Cities ranked sixth, according to Site Selection.
“These rankings reflect that the Quad Cities region is continually consistent and resilient in our economy and available skilled workforce,” said Julie Forsythe, chief economic development officer for Grow Quad Cities.
Grow Quad Cities provides site selectors and companies with information, regional data and promotional materials to attract them to the Quad Cities region. The team meets with existing regional businesses, providing the needed know-how to speed up growth or expansion opportunities.
The rankings are based on projects that qualified between July 2024 and December 2025 by meeting at least one of three criteria: at least $1 million invested, at least 20 new jobs created or at least 20,000 new square feet of space. Recent projects in the Quad Cities region available here.
