QC parades step off Monday morning

Celebrate Labor Day Quad Cities style by visiting a parade in Rock Island or East Moline on  Monday, Sept. 4. 

  • Rock Island: The 39th annual old-fashioned Labor Day Parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. Monday, beginning at 33rd Street and traveling west along 18th Avenue. At 24th Street, the parade turns left and continues south to 25th Avenue, turns right onto 25th Avenue and disbands into the Rock Island High School around 11:45 a.m.  
  • East Moline: The 40th annual Labor Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m. Monday along 15th Avenue, from 13th Street to Third Street.
