The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce is accepting registrations for the 2026 Generation Next cohort, a program designed to help rising professionals better serve their community through service and volunteerism.
The cohort begins Wednesday, Feb. 18, and will meet monthly from 1-5 p.m. through May. Participants will study community service, board governance, the roles of elected officials and the significance of volunteerism in career advancement.

Rachel Pitchford, a participant in the 2025 cohort, described the experience as one that “stretched me in ways I didn’t anticipate.”
“I learned from leaders who approach challenges differently than I do, gained insight that sharpened how I think and how I communicate, and left with new friends who challenge me, support me and push my ideas further,” said Ms. Pitchford, one of the QCBJ’s 2025 Women of Influence. She added that the program reinforced that leadership is not about titles but about “staying curious, growing with intention and surrounding yourself with people committed to meaningful work.”
The 2026 cohort is limited to 40 young professionals. The cost is $150 for chamber members and $300 for non-members. Registration closes on Friday, Feb. 6.
